The Biggest debating event of the year, The International Parliamentary Debate Tournament “The MANAS CUP“, hosted again this year at the Economics department of Turkish Manas University on 30th of November and 1st of December.
The event consisting of games played in four leagues (Kyrgyz, Russian, Turkish and English) has seen the maximum participation of six teams from our university this year in the English League. The theme was, values discussed in Chinghiz Aitmatov’s writings and our Medicos were in no way down regarding the theme.
“Night at the museum” the prestigious International cultural event was held on 18th of May this year. Being the first time the program invited 5 different countries to present their culture and tradition to the people of Bishkek. The event held in the Historical Museum near the Square of Bishkek, has seen the representation from Kyrgyzstan, India, Iran, China and Ecuador. With these countries holding up their stalls on the second floor attracted local audience to its best. Starting from the beautiful and traditional dresses and items of Kyrgyzstan, people were led into the Incredible Indian stall, where they were welcomed as per Indian culture and were entertained with the dance performances and songs.
International School of Medicine and its students have always been fore front in organizing and taking part in social activities here in Bishkek city. On May 17th, representing the beginning of the Blood donation week, a blood donation camp was organized at ISM, inviting the students to voluntarily donate the blood for those in need.
The second National elocution competition in Russian language was organized by Bishkek Humanitarian University named by Karasaeva with the support of Embassy of Russian Federation. As international participants, students of ISM IUK took part in that event and proudly secured the First, Second and Second places in three consecutive categories.
Model United Nations Conferences is initiative of UN which helps to understand the structure and function of United Nations.
1300 students from all over the world participated in this historic event and Ammar Younas, student of ISM was among top 15 students who got full scholarship. Certificate of Scholarship was awarded at FAO, UN Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
